Tour kicks off this Thursday!

I'm excited to get the guys back together to share some global jazz and exotic chamber music with you this week—live! See below for ticketing update; we're hoping for a total sellout at home this Thursday 2/5—a mention in the Boston Globe didn't hurt!

Feb 5: Boston-Area Show Close to Sellout

Note: VIP tables are sold out; only (5) advance-sale GA tickets remain.

We got a nice callout in the paper last weekend for Thursday's show at the Lizard Lounge (8pm) in the Boston Globe: ​

"An evening of globe-trotting jazz and evocative exotica showcasing vibraphonist, percussionist, and composer Brian O’Neill’s longtime lounge quintet. With Geni Skendo (flute, bass flute, and shakuhachi), Tev Stevig (oud, tanbur, and resonator guitar), bassist Michael Harrist, plus percussionist Jeremy Smith."

This show is at the Lizard Lounge in the basement of Boston Common pub, where we'll do a rare 2-set show, including most of the tracks from our first album (Third River Rangoon).

We'll also be premiering (2) modal music selections Tev and Mike have been working on with the Boston Labyrinth New England project: La Nau by Christos Barbas and Simurgh by Ross Daly. (Thanks Tev for the arrangements for our quintet!)

Feb 7: Panama City, FL Concert

Mid-tour, we're going to be presented by Panama City Music Association (FL) for our first-ever concert in the panhandle region which should be great. That show is on Feb 7th. PCMA has been awesome so far leading up to this show; true Southern hospitality—and we haven't even gotten there yet! I do not get ticketing updates from this venue, but it's the largest on this tour. Buy in advance to save some $.​

Feb 8: Birmingham, AL
​Exotica Matinee w/ Tiki Cocktails!

Finally, on Feb 8th, we drive up to Birmingham, AL—Geni's hometown—where we'll be partnering up with my friend of the band, Christie "Tiki Kiliki" White, to put on a matinee concert at Saturn Birmingham. Christie was the founder of the Hukilau tiki festival, which is how we originally met back in my Waitiki days, and she wanted to help us make a #tiki splash in BHM.

Christie is going to be working with the bar staff of Saturn to help them serve up some appropriate 'regulation' tiki libations at this event—so don't miss it!

(Christie is also hosting a whole "Magic City Tiki Weekend" the same weekend, with other events prior to our concert, including a screening of the new film, The Donn of Tiki plus a local home-bar-tour in BHM!)
